Rob has danced Lindy and Balboa since 1984 and Diane since 1995. They have a thorough understanding of the different styles of Lindy Hop, Balboa, Charleston, Single and Double Shag and Traditional Jazz and their history.
Rob and Diane worked with many of the original masters in Lindy Hop, Balboa, and Shag. Rob holds numerous national titles and together they appeared in many T.V. specials,. But Rob and Diane are mostly known for their fun and easy teaching style, their choreography and cool, sophisticated, elegant style on the dance floor.
Rob and Diane were instrumental in building the San Francisco Bay Area Swing Dance scene in the late 90's, running weekly Swing Nights at clubs from San Francisco to San Jose with life bands, series dance classes, working for many corporate jobs and running ther own Swing Club in Redwood City "Swing Central". They worked with and supported many of todays teachers that worked for them as well as maintaining their own performance troup the "Swing Cats Rhythm Revue" while keeping up a busy traveling schedule.
They taught and performed extensively around the world at camps like Herrang Dance Camp in Sweden (the mother of all Dance Camps). Today they live in Ventura, California with their two kids. Rob is a Real Estate Consultant with Troop Real Estate Inc. and Diane is a pre-school teacher.
